AOULEE is a brand created by combining the Hawaiian words “AO (light, world, earth)” and “ULI (to steer),” which evoke the nature, light and ocean of tropical Hawaii.
We value our commitment to “light” and our unique worldview, and we put our heart into each and every photograph. the name AOULEE represents our global perspective and deep love.

Born in Kobe, Japan, and raised in Hawaii and San Francisco, Kai returned to Japan after graduating from the University of San Francisco.
Inspired by diverse cultures and the arts, he specializes in documentary and editorial wedding photography, capturing genuine emotions with minimal posing and a natural, relaxed approach.

Guma
Born in Nagasaki and raised in Fukuoka, he has photographed over 1,000 couples and continues to document more than 100 weddings annually. A recipient of the Silver Award at the 2018 and 2019 WPPI Awards, his work is recognized for its artistic perspective and emotional storytelling. With a keen eye for authentic moments, he preserves the irreplaceable seconds that define each couple’s story.
